Wednesday, June 5th is Discovery Day!
Parking on campus is expected to be especially challenging on Wednesday. Please walk or bike to school if possible. If you need to drive, allow yourself extra time for drop-off and pick-up. The curb in front of our school will be reserved for community partners participating in Discovery Day. The valet drop off zone will remain open for your convenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding. And thank you to all of our volunteers!

Calling All Parents & RSE Alumni!
Volunteers are needed for our annual ice cream social on Monday, June 10th. Each "scoop" shift is only 30 minutes long and anyone from 6th graders to adults can help! We're also looking for help with set up and clean up. Check the Konstella sign up to see the openings for volunteers. Thank you for making this a memorable evening for our students and their families!
School Supplies Donation Request
Thank you to those who already donated!
We would love for all students to have the basic necessities e.g. pencils, glue sticks, notebooks, etc. from the get-go and we must order in June, so please donate now. The requested donation for supplies is $50. Please donate in Konstella or you may pay by cash or check made out to Redwood Shores Elementary School, by giving it to Nicky in the office. Thank you for your support!
Enrichment Clubs at RSES
This was such a great year for Enrichment Clubs at Redwood Shores Elementary. Kids enjoyed Newspaper club, Robotics club, Math Olympiad club, Crazy8 Math club, and Running club. These clubs were led by parent volunteers just like you. Now that the school year is coming to an end, we turn our attention to planning for next year's clubs. This is where you come in! If you have an idea for a club or have the time to volunteer as a parent helper or take on leading a club, we would love to hear from you. Please email PTA Enrichment Chair (Ora Grinberg).
Each club needs at least two co-leads to start and many could use additional parent helpers to be able to open registration for more students. One benefit of leading an after-school club is you can make it your own and can schedule it at at a time convenient to you, and of course your child(ren) are guaranteed a spot at any club led by you or in which you are a committed parent helper.
For next year, we hope to continue offering the same clubs as this year (Robotics, Math Olympiad, Crazy8 Math, Newspaper and Running) as well as additional clubs such as Gardening, Math Junior, Mandarin, Yoga, Book Club, and others. Enrichment clubs WILL NOT happen without your help. Many of the clubs we hope to offer only have one co-lead or no one so far, so please reach out if you are interested in leading those or have an idea for and interest in leading another club.
*Note: Narkees is transferring from Newspaper to help Mel with Gardening club, which still needs at least one more parent volunteer. If you're interested in helping with either, please contact Ora for details. Thanks for considering!*
