Professional Development for Teachers
One of the primary considerations for our PTA is  providing funds for our teachers to attend conferences and workshops that ultimately help our children. Here are the professional development opportunities funded by our PTA this year, and a thank you from Ms. Bleeker.

Wine For Education
April 12th is the SchoolForce Auction event, and one feature (back by popular demand) is the Wine Wall.  If you're able to donate a bottle or case of wine (minimum $20/bottle), please bring it to Garth Frasier next week. THANK YOU!!  You can support our school by supporting SchoolForce.
 
SchoolForce Database Transition
SchoolForce will be transitioning to a new donor database system in April. We will be sharing details as the transition date gets closer, so please read your email from SchoolForce, as important information will be provided that allows donors to create their own login accounts to update contact information and track donation history.
 
Family Dinner Dance April 26th
Put on your wildest Hawaiian wear and don't forget your leis & shades! Join Redwood Shores Elementary for a Hawaiian themed family dance party with dinner, dancing, photo booth and more! It will be a night to remember!  This is a PTA sponsored event and the entry cost covers the event expenses (food, drinks, photo booth, etc.)  We hope to see you all there, and that you'll volunteer to help out!! Click here for additional details and to purchase tickets for this fun family event!  
                    

Discovery Day 2019
Discovery Day is Wednesday, June 5th from 9-11:30am!
In order to make Discovery Day a success we need your help!  Our children will have the opportunity to DISCOVER, learn and explore new and exciting activities!  But without you we can’t make this happen.

Redwood Shores Community Association EGGstravaganza!
Have you signed up as a member of RSCA?  The Annual EGGstravaganza event is Saturday, April 13th, (weather permitting).  Check The PILOT for details.
 
Airport Runway Run on Sunday, April 14th!
Ever dream of running down an actual runway?  Dream no more!  Hiller Aviation Museum Airport Runway Run: Certified 5K, 10K & 2K Fun Run - Strollers welcome!

Redwood Shores Library Bookdrop Art Contest
Submit an original design to be reproduced as a bookdrop wrap for our Shores Library.  For rules and submission details please review the contest website.
 
SVCW Tunnel Boring Machine Naming Contest
Silicon Valley Clean Water is handling construction of a tunnel in Redwood Shores and wants community input to name the tunnel boring machine! Click here for additional information.
