WHOLE CHILD WELLNESS WEEK 2018

“STUDENTS FOR OTHERS”

It’s really simple: a person can take care of themselves by taking care of others. Helping out a friend nearby or giving assistance to those in need far away are just two ways anyone can be satisfied knowing a positive impact has been made.

RWSE leverages Whole Child Wellness Week with the school district’s focus on fostering responsible global citizenship this year by encouraging activities to appreciate diversity in our community, and exploring connections outside of the classroom.

Thursday, October 18

SHARE THOUGHTS AND PERSPECTIVES

-       For Grades preK to 3, bring a book to share in class.

-       For Grades 4 and 5, see the other side to do a book report of their selection. These ideas will be gathered in a folder to be left in the library for fellow students to use as a reference for recommendations.

SILICON VALLEY BIKE COALITION PRESENTATIONS
-       Kinder presentations will focus on pedestrian safety with some in class practice and will be 20 minutes.
-       2nd grade presentations are 40 minutes covering pedestrian safety with an introduction to bike safety including instruction on how to ensure a helmet fits properly.
-       4th graders will meet in the MUR for a 30 minute helmet safety presentation in the afternoon.
