Multicultural Night

Multicultural night celebrates the incredible diversity we have at our school.  This committee plans a night of multicultural experience for a school-wide free (PTA Sponsored) event. Can include food (ordered in or potluck), dancing and entertainment (through volunteers in our community or paid performers), and hands-on activities for kids/families to learn about other cultures. Committee must plan, order supplies, coordinate activities, set up and clean up event. 


This event occurs in November.


These Committee Chairs are to be guided by their liaison on the PTA Executive Board, who will assist in their planning and budget keeping as needed. This Board member is their main point of contact in connecting with the Board to assess supplies and budget needs, obtain approval for final planning, and acquire general association permissions as needed.

Committee Chair Signed Up: 2 / 2

Creates sign up and coordinates RSVPs as needed. Oversees decorations and performance coordinators. Creates name tags & food tags as needed, orders beverages, creates floor plan for room space, communicates with school staff and publicizes the event. Creates sign ups for volunteers to assist with check in, food collection/hand out, and clean up. Makes sure event stays within budget.

Decorations & Kids Activities Signed Up: 0 / 2

Uses decorations to set up the room for the evening. Supplies already on hand but can be replenished as needed. Coordinates activities for kids to do that can include tattoos, coloring, etc.

Performances Coordinator Signed Up: 2 / 3

Solicits volunteers for performing, orders outside entertainers as needed. Creates a performance schedule and works with all entertainers to ensure timing and activities are appropriate.
