The Walk-a-Thon is our school's 2nd and last fundraising event and all monies raised go directly to our school PTA and are used for programs, activities and services for our children and teachers. This committee organizes a school-wide event that includes pledges, registration, and execution of walk-a-thon and carnival. Committee members are needed to assist in distributing and collecting pledge envelopes, processing registrations (online), soliciting and managing volunteers to assist in set up, running and clean up of the walking course and carnival at the school on the day of the event. 


This event occurs mid-October either right before or right after Whole Child Wellness Week.


These Committee Chairs are to be guided by their liaison on the PTA Executive Board, who will assist in their planning and budget keeping as needed. This Board member is their main point of contact in connecting with the Board to assess supplies and budget needs, obtain approval for final planning, and acquire general association permissions as needed.

The Chair person will oversee all aspects of planning and execution of our school's main fundraiser event, held annually in the fall.

Carnival Chair people will organize games for students after the walk-a-thon is over. Requires getting supplies as needed, setting up, running games with volunteers, giving out prizes, and clean up afterward.

Course Chair Signed Up: 2 / 2

Plans and creates the course at the school on the day of event. Uses school supplies and/or orders supplies as needed.

Pledge Chair Signed Up: 1 / 1

Tracks pledges through online system and communicates with Committee Chair(s) as needed.
