The Welcome Event is in coordination with Supply Drop Off in 2017-18. Going forward, as there will be no supply drop off, the event chair may want to consider doing a BBQ for families to come together and find out who is in their child's class, learn more about PTA and School Force, and meet the principal and possibly teachers. This chair should coordinate with the PTA President and School Force Chair as they will provide content, need a place to spread out information, and volunteers to help man the tables.
This event occurs right before start of school.
This Committee Chair is to be guided by their liaison on the PTA Executive Board, who will assist in their planning and budget keeping as needed. This Board member is their main point of contact in connecting with the Board to assess supplies and budget needs, obtain approval for final planning, and acquire general association permissions as needed.
