Hi Parents, Teachers and Staff,
I wanted to give everyone a quick update on some figures and upcoming events.
Currently, we have 151 PTA members. That’s an increase of over 33% from last year!! This year the RCES PTA has already painted and stocked the teacher’s lounge, and purchased the agendas for the 3rd-5th grade students, 30 iPads and new playground equipment.
More than 115 people have linked to RCES PTA with their VIC card, generating about $3 per day for the school. If you haven’t already, please link your VIC card by visiting https://www.harristeeter.com/together-in-education#/app/cms. Our school code is 2987.
Please also consider doing your Amazon shopping through smile.amazon.com. On your first visit choose RCES PTA as your designated charity. From then on, a percentage of every purchase you make will be donated to the PTA as long as you start at smile.amazon.com. If enough people sign up, that total could really add up as the year progresses.
Laps 4 Learning will take place this Friday. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer. The response has been amazing! All money raised should be sent in to the school by Friday, Oct. 7, using the envelope provided in this week’s Tuesday folder.
This year, we are going to schedule a monthly takeover night at a local restaurant and the first one is scheduled for Sept. 30. Goodberry’s at 1146 Kildaire Farm Road will be hosting RCES from 5 – 10 p.m. When you order please give them the flyer that will be included in your child’s Sept. 27 Tuesday folder, or just let them know you are with RCES. They will donate 30% of their profits back to the school.
Finally, in October we will be selling GoPlaySave coupon books. You can purchase them now at https://www.goplaysavetriangle.com/store/RCE2017%20 or wait and purchase them directly from a student. Please share this link with friends and family. We can earn up to $12.50 per book!
Hope you all are having a great start to the school year and please feel free to email or message me on Konstella with thoughts or ideas on how to make the PTA better.
