This Committee manages the scheduling of fundraisers and events like, Caminata (our walk-a-thon), the Dia de los Muertos Dance (“Baile”), Gala as well as dinner nights at Aqui, Willow Street, Casino nights and other events. The fundraising team also helps schedule and coordinate grade level fundraisers for 4th and 8th grade.
Each year HABLA raises approximately $100,000 through direct parent donations (15%), fundraising events (65%), ongoing community partnerships (15%) and other (5%).
Each spring and early summer the HABLA Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Principal and parent volunteers, craft an annual budget for the upcoming school year which reflects the priorities of the school. The budget defines how HABLA will generate funds as well as which specific programs and activities will receive support from the HABLA general fund.
