Some of you may have already heard the excellent news, but I am delighted to report that there will be a crossing guard at Prospect and Harrison starting in the Fall! This has been nearly two years in the making, and all the letters and comments paid off; thank you all for your continued engagement! I want to note that Sgt. Matthews from the Princeton Police Department has been an incredible partner in all of this, and he will be an excellent resource for us going forward.
Now that we will truly have a safe way for kids to cross Harrison, we want to ensure this is the route that students use starting in the Fall. The PPD regularly reviews the number of crossings at intersections with guards, and we want to keep our numbers up. Keep an eye out for some back-to-school safety events later in the summer.
