Thank you to everyone who signed up for After School Clubs. Special thanks to Shamafa and Paige R who worked tirelessly to put this program together. Also, thank you to Inga R, Barbara B, Yusra L for their past work and continued help and support, and to Robert K for jumping in to help with Homeroom and to Jennifer N for her outreach - and to our Parent Volunteers. A big thank you to Max Achtau and the Riverside faculty and staff who work with the PTO After School Clubs team to make this program so special.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS AND INFORMATION:
1) Scholarships: If you are in need of a scholarship, please reach out to Principal Max Achtau before the end of school today to determine eligibility.
2) Homeroom - Child's Details: Please be sure that the following is up to date in Homeroom: Your child(ren)'s grade, classroom teacher, and dismissal selection. This information is needed in order to be sure all children get correctly sent to, and dismissed from, their clubs.
3) Waitlists: The clubs team will start to move through the Waitlists in the next 24 hours. In some cases, they need to wait for responses from vendors about accepting additional people. Important reminders about the Waitlist invitations: a) you must respond within 24 hours of the email's send time or the invitation will expire and move on to the next person. b) If you accept a Waitlist invitation to a club that conflicts with another club you may have signed your child up for as a backup, we will assume that you want to withdraw your child for from the club with the conflicting day/time. Please check with your child before accepting the invite as we have had instances where it turns out the child now preferred the "backup" club. All Waitlist invitations come from the Homeroom email system so be sure to check your spam folders, etc.
4) Clubs Status: There are some clubs that still have open slots so we hope you'll consider them as options if your child is still looking for a fun after school activity. There are also a few clubs with enrollments currently below the minimum enrollment required to run the club. The clubs team will reach out to vendors and teachers and do their best to make those clubs happen. Any changes will be sent out this week.
5) Club Dates & Times: A handful of clubs have a start date, "no club" days, and/or a club dismissal time that is different from the majority of clubs. Please look for weekly emails from Homeroom about your child(ren)'s club's status - or review the schedule for your club on the Homeroom catalog page.
