We, the Riverside PTO, in partnership with the Princeton Public School District, Principal Achtau and a team of teachers, has kicked off the restoration of the central Courtyard, a cornerstone project, to transform this space at the heart of Riverside Elementary school.

The space has been largely overgrown and unused for the past ten years. The result will be a tranquil and inspiring outdoor learning space. 

In phase one, we have partnered with Rutgers Landscape Architecture Program, and the district to reimagine the space and will soon restore the space with a series of zones for multi-use.

We have input from over 100 students, teachers and community members and will vote on proceeding with the next phase of the program at the March 27 PTO meeting.

Please join us and look out for a Spring Courtyard restoration club! We would love to have parents lead portions of the program and we can share more details.
