WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR SEVERAL DAYS IN JULY + AUGUST!

Help ensure our school garden thrives over summer! We need someone to water every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, plus one weekend day (either Sat. or Sun.) all summer long. Morning or evening is preferred so that water doesn't evaporate in hot weather. Each shift takes about 30-45 minutes to give the plants a good soak.
BONUS: If you see food that's ready to harvest while you're watering, please feel free to take it home!
RCP Garden Watering HOW-TO:
1. Open the garden shed (we'll send lock codes to all volunteers).
2. Find the water "key" that looks like photo below and the watering wand/sprayer. They are usually kept on the upper left shelves. 
3. Connect watering wand to hose located between the shed and the fence.
4. Find the water faucet/hose bib. Head down the steps to the sidewalk on 57th and toward the front entrance of the school. Follow the hose that runs along the building until you find where it's connected to the faucet. Turn on the faucet with the water key by twisting to the left.
5. Walk back to the garden and water anything green or with a "water me" sign. Water deeply so the soil is moist a few inches below the top of the soil. A good method is to water for 15-20 seconds at each bed, then keep cycling through the whole garden several times until the soil is moist enough, in order to let the water soak in a bit before giving more.
6. Turn off the water.
7. Collect the hose in the corner and return the water key and water wand/sprayer to the shed. Lock everything back up!
