Parent Council

  1. We value parents as partners in planning and developing quality education and programs for our SPNS community. The role of the Parent Council is to:

    • to represent the parents’ interests to the board including feedback about aspects of the program such as our model, class times/sizes, etc.

    • to report to the board important issues that arise within the parent community

    • to take lead of special projects such as a fundraising opportunity, a special all-school event or parent education opportunity.

    • to manage and follow up with committees to ensure projects and goals are being met

    • to have one member of the parent council attend the monthly board meeting

    • The parent council will meet once a month at a member’s home on a rotating schedule or at the school when time/schedule permits.
