If you wish to give your child a PCR covid test, you may pick one up at the District Office today before 4:30 p.m. They are in a bin outside. Please try not to ask the office staff to help; they are very busy. There are paper copies of instructions, as well as a QR code that links to instructions, and they can also be found here. The tests should be returned to the same place tomorrow (Oct. 5) before 1:30 p.m. This week's testing is optional, and can be done in addition to, or instead of, rapid testing.
Our next regular rapid testing (BinaxNow) event is next week, Oct. 11–15. We will continue to offer optional PCR testing in alternate weeks as supplies allow; some parents have requested PCR testing, so we are making those tests available.
A quick note: If your child is tested outside of the school-provided tests, and it's not to fulfill a quarantine protocol or for school-required symptoms, no need to send negative results to your school admin. It can be confusing to send random negative results to school. Only send a negative result if it's been requested (or use the appropriate portals to report results as part of the school-testing program).
