Information: TiKToK trends & Community information

Dear Grizzly Families,

It is nearly Fri-yeah and we are  ticking down to winter break. Speaking of ticking, there is a new TikTok trend that may be in the news so we are alerting our families about recent information that has come to our community's attention.

Some trends that some parents have discussed in our PAWS meetings such as “Devious Licks” which centered around defacing or stealing school property in September.

Summit Denali Middle school has mild mischief incidents all within middle school norms.

It was still nice to discuss what was going on, parent to parent.

This latest TikTok trend is national and does not have any credible evidence, however, the TikTok challenge encouraged students to threaten violence on campus and like many other schools Summit Denali Middle school is monitoring reports out of an abundance of caution.

There is no indication that Denali is in any danger, however, Summit Denali is in contact with the local authorities. The police will be planning a friendly check-in tomorrow morning.

There is a wonderful “Celebration of Learning'' planned for our students tomorrow and Summit Denali Middle School advises us to maintain a calm and cautious optimism with a wonderful start to our winter break.

All the best to our Grizzly families this Holiday Season.
