Dear Summit Denali Families,
We were saddened to recently learn of your school’s closing and we realize that it has left many of you looking for schools for next school year. For those of you who are looking for a progressive middle school (and high school) option, we wanted to reach out to introduce our school.

Tessellations School is a non-profit, project-based school for gifted students located in Cupertino, CA. We have recently acquired a new campus which allows us to add classes and we currently have space to enroll additional 6th-8th Grade students in Fall 2023.

Our program emphasizes whole-child development and hands-on, engaging, project-based learning, which will take place at our Main Campus in Cupertino (Opening Fall of 2023). Our school also provides a robust outdoor education program and includes weekly learning opportunities at our nearby Nature Campus.

Additionally, Tessellations High School will open in Fall 2024! Tessellations High School will embody the educational philosophy and practices that have contributed to the success of our K-8 school: prioritization of social-emotional well being and mental health (to be equally as important as academic learning); narrative report cards as opposed to letter grades; connection to nature; diversity and inclusivity; and a reasonable workload. Our High School will also have additional requirements, which will include a broader curriculum, advanced courses, and preparation for college/university.
