Dear Sunset View Families, Teachers, and Staff,

What a day! Last Friday’s Take Me Out to the Jogathon was a total success, filled with energy, excitement, and some serious heart. Our students didn’t just run—they shredded, rolled, flipped, and fought their way through an action-packed, fun-filled day.

From skateboarding and jiu-jitsu to gymnastics, INDO boards, bowling and karate, the kids had the chance to try out some awesome new skills, all while running their hearts out. The energy was electric, and it was incredible to see so many smiles, sweaty faces, and determined little athletes pushing themselves to do their best.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible—parents, volunteers, teachers, staff, and the incredible businesses and coaches who brought their expertise and passion to share with our students. Your support is what makes events like this not just fun but truly unforgettable.

A couple reminders:

  1. Jogathon Pledging will close Friday, March 7th.   Still plenty of time to collect pledges!   
  2. The video contest is still open for submissions!  Encourage your SVE students, siblings, and friends to create a video promoting and advertising our Jogathon.  A family or group video is welcomed!   Submit using: Video Contest Entry Form 2025 Jogathon Video Submissions.
  3. If a "makeup jogathon" date is needed, an announcement will be made.   Students who attend the makeup will not be eligible for top runner prizes.

PWP KID PIC ANNOUNCEMENT!
One of the most special elements of PWP is often our annual kid pictures we sell at the event. Prior to the event we will have a professional photo of your child taken and printed out in black and white available for sale at PWP. Only ticket holders are eligible. If you would like your child’s photo taken, you must purchase your ticket by February 17th.

The 13th Annual Hungry Dog Dash Community 5K is only one week away! 

The Dash is back - February 9, 2024 at 8 a.m. Race Location: NTC Park Liberty Station Registration is NOW OPEN  Register Here! Hungry Dog Dash 2025

Price includes:      

•    Official race t-shirt     

•    Dog tags      

•    Water stops along the course and at the finish   

•    A chance to win a trophy for the top three finishers in all age divisions     

•    Prizes to the top male and female finishers!

Runner and walkers of all ages are invited to join, even (leased) four-legged friends! This flat, fast course in Liberty Station is a great way to get some fresh air and exercise before the Super Bowl all while supporting your very own PLHS PA Cross Country team!
