Moonlight Madness

We’re officially counting down to Moonlight Madness on Friday, March 6 (5:30–8:30 PM) — one of Sunset View’s most loved traditions and a night of fun!  TK Families:  TK students will have their own shorter Moonlight Madness, planned and hosted by the TK teachers on March 6 (5:00–7:30 PM).  Here’s what you need to know:
There is still time to qualify!   Students who participated in the Jogathon can still reach the $400 fundraising goal to attend.

  1. 1st Place Runners Any student who earned 1st place in their grade is automatically invited — congratulations on an amazing achievement!
  2. Extra Chances to Attend! This Friday, we will hold a raffle at Friday flag and select additional Moonlight Madness attendees, so stay tuned!
  3. Volunteers Needed (K–4 Only) Parent volunteers are needed only for the K–4 Moonlight Madness, especially for CHECK OUT.  Please consider signing up to help make this night organized!!!   Sign up here!
  4. Permission Slips Permission slip info was sent home last week — check your emails this week for permission slips (coming soon)
  5. Have more than one child?  If your family’s combined donations total $400, you may choose one child to attend — just notify us which student will participate.

Thank you, Sunset View families, for your incredible support and enthusiasm. We can’t wait for an amazing Moonlight Madness! 🌊

Show your love for the Sunset View Library by joining the Legacy Book Club

Legacy Book Club (formerly birthday book club) is a long-standing tradition and Library fundraiser. For a donation of $25 per student, the Librarian is able to purchase a large array of brand new books to add to the library. Your child will select one of these books to “give” to the library in his/her name. We will inscribe their name and birthday on a special placard inside the book, where it stays forever and becomes a lasting legacy!

These kids also get to participate in a super fun party in the library later in the year, as a thank you for donating a book. They are the first kids to check out their chosen book before it’s returned to the library. Even today, kids will check out a book that has a name from a student many years ago. Come join the fun and help raise money for Library Books! Purchase a book HERE!

📸Annual Party with a Purpose Kid Pictures- Monday, March 2nd!
Send your kiddo to school looking sharp and camera ready on Monday, March 2nd. These timeless photos are in black and white, so solid-colored shirts, layers or light textures usually perform best. As a reminder, we are only printing the photos for those who PRE PURCHASE! If your child is not at school on the 2nd there will be a make-up day to be announced soon.

🍷PWP Wine Pull March 9th-13th- We're excited to bring back our Wine Pull this year, and we need your help! If you're able, please consider donating a bottle (or two!) of wine valued at $20 or more. For each bottle of wine you give you’ll receive 2 drink tickets. Every bottle helps make this fundraiser a success and supports our event in a fun, easy way.

A few suggestions:
Reds- J Lohr Cabernet, La Crema Pinot Noir.
Whites- Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc, La Crema Chardonnay
Bubbles - La Marca, Chandon Brut

Thank you so much for your generosity!

🤠Have you been lamenting over your PWP outfit? Dust off your boots and shine up your belt buckle! Think “cowboy meets cocktail”: boots and dresses, denim and blazers, bolo ties, fringe, hats (optional but fun!), and anything that gives Western vibes with a polished twist. Have fun with it!

🎟Now are you ready to get your tickets and join us for some line dancing and fun?? Tickets are on SALE

💵We Still Need PWP Sponsors! A great way to support is through our $100 Elite Longhorn Circle. It gets you 2 drink tickets and Family Recognition! Check out the Sponsorship Opportunities!

Please also consider donating to the teacher and staff fund that will go towards our teacher’s PWP tickets. You can donate HERE.

Yearbooks for Sale!
Capture all of your memories in this year's Yearbook! We have partnered again with TreeRing to create this year's book. Logon to TreeRing to purchase your book and customize your two free pages. All books and custom pages must be finalized by April 17. Please see the attached flyers for more information and details on how to register. Please contact Lauren Litteken with any questions.

Parking-
It is a well known fact that parking around Sunset View is a challenge!  Please allow yourself plenty of time to find parking before and after school.  Do NOT attempt to enter the lower parking lot after 8:00am. Unless you are using a handicap spot or you are one of the two families that purchased the parking space or the golf cart spot at last year's auction, parking is NOT allowed in the lower lot during pick-up or drop off.    (Those who have students attending morning SAY may drop off before teachers arrive for the day.)
Please note that signage along Hill Street has changed and the majority of the space directly in front of the entrance is now marked as active loading/unloading. Please adhere to this new loading zone and do not park in this area if you intend to leave your vehicle.
