BOOK FAIR is coming THIS WEEK!!!
Get excited for this year’s book fair! It will run concurrently with parent teacher conferences with opportunities to shop before and after school. If you are not able to attend with your child and would like to load an e-wallet or shop online please do so here!
There are also opportunities to volunteer during the week and help classes preview the books or help them shop! Book Fair Volunteer Support

Enrichment Teacher Highlight! Check back regularly to learn more about our 3 enrichment teachers! Each trimester your students are enrolled in 2 of the 3 classes
Mindfulness - Desiree Eriksson
Desiree Eriksson is a dedicated educator. She started as an impact teacher, TK teacher, and Kindergarten teacher in National City. She brings heart, creativity, and mindfulness into the classroom. With over a decade of experience in education, she also founded a successful tutoring business supporting students’ academic growth and confidence. Certified as a Mindfulness Coach through the NeuroMindfulness Institute, Desiree teaches children and families how to build emotional awareness, resilience, and calm through mindful practices.
When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her singing, working out, traveling, decorating cakes, or enjoying time with friends and her two boys—both proud Sunset View Elementary alumni. Her passion for kindness, connection, and lifelong learning shines through in everything she does.
