Hi Sutro families,
We are seeking Room Parent volunteers to help create community in your class and connect your class to our wider Sutro family.

It’s helpful for teachers, students, and families if every class at Sutro has a “room parent.” A room parent can be any caregiver for the student (parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc.) but someone meaningfully involved with our school community.

Room parents:

• Help the class teacher in connecting with the parent community to arrange for class participation in wider Sutro events, like movie nights, festivals, spring picnic, etc.

• Liaise with the PTA to ensure all class parents know of upcoming events, activities, etc. and help coordinate volunteer opportunities

• Gather class gifts of appreciation for teachers and staff

• Organize class-centric play dates, outings, and parent-only events to foster school spirit and connection
  
  Time commitment: Roughly 2 hours/month.

  「班級家長」的職責：

  幫助班主任與家長社區建立聯繫，安排班級參加 Sutro 的各種活動，例如電影之夜、節日慶典、春季野餐等。

  與家長教師協會 (PTA) 聯絡，確保所有班級家長了解即將舉行的活動等，並協助協調志工機會。

  收集班級禮物，感謝老師和工作人員。

  組織以班級為中心的遊戲約會、郊遊和僅限家長參加的活動，以培養學校精神和聯繫。

  時間投入：約 2 小時/月。
