THIS FRIDAY: BNS Night Out at Chuck E. Cheese!

Join us from 4-9 pm for a fun night out that raises money for our school! BNS gets 20% of all proceeds. Don’t forget to wear your BNS gear! Chuck E. Cheese is located at 139 Flatbush Ave., 3rd Floor.


IMPORTANT: Changes to the school calendar this spring! 

Please note that the staff and PTA voted to make two changes to the BNS calendar this spring:

• NO SCHOOL Tuesday, May 26
• THERE WILL BE SCHOOL Friday, June 5

By making Tuesday, May 26 a non-attendance day, families will have consecutive days off: Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day); Tuesday, May 26; Wednesday, May 27 (Eid al-Adha).

The following week, there is no school on Thursday, June 4 (Anniversary Day/Chancellor's Conference Day for staff development), but there will be school on Friday, June 5.

Note that these changes apply to the BNS calendar but may not apply to other schools. We will share information about organizations that are offering camp on Tuesday, May 26.


Wed. 4/1: Families as Learning Partners: Math

Curious about math at BNS? Join us next Wednesday from 8:20-9:40 in room 325. We will visit classrooms and then discuss the "how" and "why" of our approach to math with Shirley.

Mark your calendars for a free event with authors Torrey Maldonado and Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovitch on Tuesday, April 21. The cafe opens at 5 and the event takes place from 5:30-7:30 pm in the auditorium.

Spring Fling: Let's make our Silent Auction a success!

Our annual Spring Fling & Silent Auction is Thursday, April 30 at 7 pm. Join us for an adults-only night of fun and community.
