Please read through information below about BNS Field Days next week on 6/16 & 6/17 in Prospect Park.

BNS Field Days 2026 

BNS Field Days are days of running, jumping, standing still, all of us together outdoors. We trek, we run, we facepaint, we play games, we picnic and enjoy being together.

  • Tuesday, June 16th - Grades 3, 4 & 5, in Prospect Park at the Tennis House Valley (Enter at 9th St. & Prospect Park West, walk straight in, cross park road and continue on pathway.) See map below.

  • Wednesday, June 17th -  Grades K, 1 & 2 in Prospect Park at the Tennis House Valley (Enter at 9th St. & Prospect Park West, walk straight in, cross park road and continue on pathway.) See map below

Classes will leave BNS at approx. 9:00am and travel by subway to Prospect Park, returning at approx. 1:30 pm. 

We eat lunch in the park, so please pack a lunch for your child and yourself if you are joining us.

Volunteer-Led Activities - we need YOU to help supervise an activity:

• Can you do Face Painting? 
• Can you lead a game of Ultimate Frisbee or do the Parachute?
• Can you do Yoga or Tumbling or Dance or …? 
• Can you manage Relay Races or coach Soccer or Football Toss? 
• Can you Hula Hoop?

PLEASE BRING: Lots of extra water, sunscreen, spray water bottles, Tennis balls, spaldeens, baseball mitts, jump ropes, hula hoops, frisbees.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING: pets, electronics of any kind, skateboards, skates, scooters, nerf guns, water pistols or water balloons, baseball bats or hard balls, glass bottles ****

*** Please refrain from buying any items from Park Vendors (such as ICEEs)
*** Bicycles should be parked away from Field Day site.
*** Please Do Not bring your dogs to the site.

Tuesday, June 16th:  T-Shirts

  • 3rd graders will wear indigo tie dye shirts

  • 4th graders will wear their Musical shirts

  • 5th graders will wear Black Mayan shirts


Wednesday, June 17th: T-Shirts

  • Kindergarten will wear Blue shirts

  • 1st graders will wear Maroon shirts

  • 2nd graders will wear Teal shirts
