4TH GRADE PERFORMANCE BASED ASSESSMENTS

TUESDAY, MARCH 24 - FRIDAY, MARCH 27

morning & afternoon sessions available

We are asking Pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade families & friends of our community to sign-up to be on a panel.

Fourth grade students will have individual opportunities to express their learning and reflect on their process with panels of adults.

We need families & community volunteers to join teachers on panels to listen, take notes, and ask reflective questions. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what students study at BNS while providing an authentic, curious audience for our student experts.

Volunteers can sign up to participate in a panel for any grade level except for the current grade level of their child. This will help preserve the integrity of the assessment.

SIGN UP HERE

For details, see the attached PDF.

FILL OUT YOUR 2026 NYC SCHOOL SURVEY

Please provide honest feedback and remember that you may skip any question you do not wish to answer.

You can fill out the survey you received in backpack mail or take the survey online via computer or mobile device at NYCSchoolSurvey.org in any of the nine NYCPS-supported languages, using your survey access code, which is also printed on the paper survey.

The family access code is lowercase “f” followed by your child’s nine-digit Student Identification (OSIS) Number.

The deadline is Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

THE SPRING FLING NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW!

Our auction is only as successful as the outreach our community does, and we’re actively seeking donations and auction items. Please reach out to the Fundraising Committee and we’ll provide all the tools you need — or check out our auction site to get started. https://BNS2026.auctria.events

This is a great way to help from home and make a real impact.

Every ask counts — thank you for supporting BNS!  fundraising@bns146.org
