FUNDRAISING ANNUAL APPEAL

This year’s goal: $220,000

While public schools remain underfunded, the BNS community creates a bridge through our year-round fundraising. The funds we raise together go towards experiential, hands-on learning that focuses on children's individual needs and interests. Funds raised by the PTA pay for our science teachers, performing arts programs, school, office, art and science supplies, professional development for our faculty, our farming and garden program, and many, many other resources that give our students such a rich educational experience. The PTA spends around $450 per student each year towards these programs.

Every gift counts, whether it’s $5 or $500/month. 100% goes directly to our kids.

Donate here: https://donorbox.org/friends-of-bns-supporter

Or drop cash/check (Friends of BNS) in the office, Room 206.

For our children, a community that is supportive, inspired, all in.

CHECK OUT OUR WISH LIST FOR EVENT SUPPLIES.
All of these items will be delivered right to school if you buy them with this link, and we will all be so grateful!

VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

While most of the activities are student-led, there are a few roles where having adult family volunteers will really help the event flow smoothly.

Sign up here for a shift if you can help out.

And if you have a waffle maker we can borrow, please keep us in mind.

We can prepare many more waffles if we have more waffle makers -- to the greatest extent our outlets can handle! We'll send out a request to bring in loaner-waffle-makers closer to the event date.

FAQ

1) Are kids allowed?

Yes! This is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome. Please keep in mind that the benefit is taking place at Mama Tried, a bar and performance venue—not a playground. We ask that parents and caregivers keep an eye on their kids throughout the afternoon to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

2) Will there be food?

Yes! Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the cash bar inside the venue. Mama Tried has generously offered to donate 15% of all bar purchases made during the event back to BNS.

3) Where will the event be held?

The event will take place outdoors in Mama Tried’s covered backyard.

Come out, celebrate our amazing community, and help support BNS!
