Class parent volunteers facilitate communication between the teachers and parents in the classrooms.
What Does A Class Parent Do?
- Introduce yourself to your teachers and let them know you are here to support them;
- Send any communications (typically via your Konstella Classroom group) that your teachers would like you to send on their behalf. Some teachers prefer to communicate directly and other teachers prefer that Class Parents send around reminders for things like field trips or special events;
- Coordinate Class Gifts for the Holidays and End of Year per DOE and school guidelines (which will be communicated to you in advance and are very easy);
- Coordinate any other requests that your teachers have such as requests for supplies or volunteers for field trips;
- Serve as a friendly resource to other parents in your classrooms.
