Dear Earth School Families,
It’s almost Spring Party & Auction time! Are you ready to have fun and support our school simultaneously? Last year we raised over $26,000 and we had a blast doing it. Thank you to all the families who contributed countless hours to make it a huge success. This event is our biggest fundraiser and helps pay for camping and field trips, classes in technology, science, music, and art for our school. Did you know that The Earth School only gets 87% of its Fair Student Funding? That’s why the ESPA’s fundraising efforts are critical. We need YOU! Are you ready to party with the coolest school community in the East Village? Here’s how to help:
PURCHASE TICKETS: The party begins at 6 pm on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Nicholas Hall, 288 East 10th St (at Ave A). Admission includes a delicious buffet, two drinks, music and dancing, and the chance to bid on amazing merchandise, services and experiences during our silent and live auctions. Can’t attend? Buy a ticket for a teacher! Tickets are $30 presale and are available at https://theearthschool.ejoinme.org/2018.
SOLICIT DONATIONS: Use the donation letter and form attached to solicit two or more donations of goods or services. You can also input donations directly at https://theearthschool.ejoinme.org/2018. Check out the Auction Donation Idea List to get inspired (see attached). Ask friends, family & other contacts who have access to “money can’t buy” special experiences, gift certificates to restaurants or services, hotel stays, Broadway show tickets, sports event tickets, etc. Do you have a special skill or service that you can donate? Anything with a value of $5 to $1,000+ is welcome.
VOLUNTEER: Help is needed starting now until the day of the event. There are lots of opportunities to help, even from home. Email the auction committee to find out more ways to help at firstname.lastname@example.org and stay tuned for Konstella notifications on how to get involved.
SECURE A SPONSORSHIP: Ask a business to help cover auction expenses (such as printing, food and beverages, space rental, etc.). Ask your doctor, dentist, accountant, your workplace, a family business, etc. if they are willing to help the Parents Association underwrite the event. There are several sponsorship opportunities available (see form attached). Their logo and information will be displayed in all our communications, on the website, and at the party.
