#RedforED information & event updates week of April 23rd

Hello HTA Community!

Thanks to all who have joined our educators at the various walk-ins this month on Wednesdays and continue to support the #RedforEd  movement.  The work continues, and the Konstella calendar and newsfeed have been updated with all the scheduled events for this coming week.


Attached, you will find a one page document that outlines all of the events as well.  Please feel free to share this on your own social media accounts, with friends, family and anyone who might be looking for information on ways to support the educators driving this demand for change.


As we move forward in this week, please support our HTA teachers as much as you can.  It is possible that we will reach Thursday without a resolution to the education crisis in AZ, and our educators will be walking out and rallying at the State Capitol.  We will continue to update our HTA PTO social media and Konstella pages as information is available to us.  Please be sure to visit www.husd.org regularly for information on events, closures, etc...


We hope to see you (in your best RED) at one or more of the events in our calendar.  As we go through what is going to be a busy week for our HTA teachers -- both in and out of the classroom -- please take a moment to provide them with some extra encouragement.  They are demanding change for the system as a whole -- and that means positive change for our students.  They will be in their classrooms working with our kids each day, and rallying and maintaining momentum at various community events during the week.  A note/email of encouragement can go a long way.  If you are inclined to send  a care package of snacks, water, or other gifts -- we know our teachers would be floored and appreciative.
