❗️Principal Selection Process Meeting - Monday, March 3
Fri, Feb 28 12:44pm

Hi Thunderbirds,

We’re sharing a message below from Dr. Sabrina Moore regarding the principal selection process. This is an important decision, and your involvement is essential in supporting our teachers, staff, and students at Thornhill.

We strongly encourage you to attend the Zoom meeting on Monday, March 3, so we can come together as a community and ensure the best outcome for our school. Everyone is invited to attend.

As you know, the PFC plays a huge role at Thornhill, and we share a common goal of ensuring a smooth transition for the 25/26 school year.

Please reach out to us at president@thornhillschool.org if you have any questions!

Warmly,

Catrina & Becky

From Dr. Sabirna Moore:

I'm writing to invite you to an important community meeting regarding the process of selecting our new principal. As you know, we have mixed emotions about Principal Daubenspeck's upcoming sabbatical. While we are sad to temporarily lose his exceptional leadership and dedication to our school, we are also happy that he will have this well-deserved time for personal and professional growth.

Now, we need your help in finding the next long-term leader for Thornhill who will continue to build on the strong foundation Principal Daubenspeck has established.

**Why This Matters:**
The Principal Recommendation Committee (PRC) plays a vital role in the selection of our new school leader. As outlined in OUSD Board Policy 4500, the PRC will interview candidates and recommend finalists to the Superintendent, ensuring our community has meaningful input in this important decision.

- 1 community representative

**How You Can Help:**
1. Attend the community meeting on Monday
2. Share this information with other Thornhill families
3. Consider serving on the PRC by submitting an interest form
4. Participate in voting for your representatives

Your active participation in this process is essential to finding a principal who understands our community's values and can effectively lead Thornhill forward. Please make every effort to attend Monday's meeting and encourage other families to join as well.

If you have any questions before the meeting, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your commitment to our school community,
