đŸ‘» Halloween Parade Details

Thornhill’s annual Halloween Parade is happening this Friday, October 31, 1:30–2:00 p.m. on the upper playground track. Parents are invited to watch and can enter through Gate A, which will open at 1:20. Parents can stand around the outside of the track, leaving space for classes to sit on the actual track.

KIND REMINDER ABOUT PARKING:
It will be a busy day at school tomorrow which means we need to be extra mindful and use ours safety brains when parking and driving on Thornhill Drive. Let's keep our kids safe and be respectful of our neighbors. Please refer to General Car Parking Information for guidance.

Here are Thornhill's costume guidelines:

  • No full-face masks

  • No weapons (real or pretend)

  • No overly scary or gory costumes

  • Nothing harmful or offensive to our community

🎃 Monster Mash Dance Details

We are so excited that this year Thornhill will be hosting a Monster Mash School Dance for grades 1-5!

The dance will take place on Friday, October 31, 2-3pm in the school MPR and school yard, right after the Halloween Parade.

Holding the dance during the school day will minimize disruption to after-school programming and allow parents who want to take their children home after school to still participate.

If you’re able, please sign up here to help make our school dance a monster success! If you volunteered to help with set up, please arrive at 12:30 if you are able, to allow enough time to get everything ready and decorated before the start of Monster Mash.

🍭 Monster Mash Update for TK & Kindergarten Families

As of 10/28, TK and Kindergarten will not be participating in the Monster Mash this year due to time limitations.

If you’re a TK/K parent or caregiver who signed up to volunteer for Monster Mash, please note that this part of the sign-up has changed. Be sure to update your sign-up accordingly.

Please watch for a message from your TK/K teacher or room parent(s) with details about your classroom’s Halloween party needs and adjust as you see fit.
