An important message from Peter Russo, the PFC's Traffic Safety Chair
As you may have noticed, construction / no parking signs went up last week indicating that Pinnacle Power Services, a PG&E subcontractor, will be working on the power lines in front of school this Thursday, May 21, between 7:00am-4:00pm.

I'm pleased to announce that ThornDOT has sucessfully lobbied(*) Pinnacle & PG&E to delay the start of construction until 9am, so that it won't affect morning dropoff.
However, to minimize the likelihood of getting a ticket:
Do NOT park in front of school between 7am-4pm on Thursday May 21, or at least until the work is clearly finished. Pinnacle estimates that they will be done by 2:00pm, before the afternoon bell. If you need to get out of your vehicle and or go into school, park in the St. John's lot.

Fingers crossed that we'll get through Thursday's construction safely, and with zero parking tickets (in that order). Please get in touch with me at

(*) I'm feeling pretty emboldened by this victory, and am going to lobby PG&E for lower electricity rates next. Will let you know what they say.
