Dear Thornhill Families,

It is with a heavy heart I write to you about the shocking  wave of violence that has been inflicted on the Asian American Pacifice Isander community.  This recent spate of violence that has left eight dead and other wounded is very saddening.   Locally, Oakland and San Francisco have seen racist crimes increasing.  This lack of regard for human life and respect for all cultures and people is appalling.   The Asian American Pacific Islander community has been dealing with threats and racist attacks for some time now and this is not ok.     These acts of racism towards the APPI community must end.  I want our families of AAPI descent to know that we, the faculty/staff of Thornhill, stand with you and your families.   We are here for you and we condemn these attacks on your community.   Please reach out to any of our staff members or myself should you need anything.

Love,

Mr. Daubenspeck
