Thanks to all who've made pickup in the last 3 weeks so successful!

• We started with about 20 student pickups a day in the first few days of the school year.
• After 15 days of continuous improvement, we're now helping up to 40 students a day.
• We're still reducing wait times and total volunteer minutes per day.
• We are helping all waiting families safely depart within 10-15 minutes after the bell.
• We've helped over 85 students who have participated in our pickup line so far.

Dropoff is running pretty well, though you're always welcome to join us in the morning.

We still need your help for pickup!

Each day, we need:

• 2 people for TK/K pickup (2-2:30pm/1-1:25pm Min days)
• 3-4 people for 1-5 Gr pickup (2:30-3pm/1:15-2:40pm Min days)
• These can be partially overlapping shifts (1 or 2 of the TK/K volunteers may choose to stay on)

• Or just show up and find a PFC yellow-vested volunteer. More help appreciated every day.

We've seen a great increase in new volunteers this year. Still, regular volunteers from last year have been doing double duty to make sure pickup runs smoothly. As work trips, illness, dental visits, and other factors affect our lives, we need a few more people to help out so we don't burn out.

If you have questions about how to volunteer with your Thornhill student or other child with you with you or aren't sure about the time commitment, please let us know. We've got a whole village of people who come for a few minutes or once in a while. It all helps and makes the system work.
