We need the following volunteers! Please let us know if you can volunteer for one of these vital positions.
During the Thornhill auction, this person coordinates internal and partner-school volunteers in the various job slots during the event. This is mostly done via Sign-Up Genius or Konstella. The volunteer coordinator will be the main point of contact for all volunteers during event. The lead will also work with other elementary schools to coordinate Thornhill parents volunteering for their auctions as well as their parents volunteering for our auction.
This position is responsible for solicitation of sponsorships from the local business community and other businesses in the Bay Area as appropriate. Sponsorships include auction catalog ad sales, business logo placement on promotional materials (flyers, banners, etc.) and outright monetary donations to support the event.
This position takes the lead on organizing and running the raffles and games during the auction. This includes getting raffle items from the solicitations team, collecting and/or creating any materials needed for the games/raffles, and letting the volunteer coordinator know how many volunteers are needed for each game throughout the evening. Games in the past have included: Golden Ticket, Heads or Tails, Wine Cellar, Balloon Pop, etc.
This person will be lead the charge on organizing our solicitation of “experiences”: Weekend Getaway Packages, Museums/Attractions, etc. This includes assigning your team areas of California (Tahoe, Napa, SF, Monterey, etc) in which to target hotels, restaurants, and attractions. Ultimately creating a few “weekend away” experiences for the auction.
