On Friday, May 10 at 8am, come to the kindergarten line-up area outside on the yard to visit with author Emily Jurs Sparks, who will read from her children’s book Kids on the Shortcut. Emily will have books for sale for $16 (a $1 discount from the Amazon price), and will donate 20% of all sales at the event to Thornhill, and the Goza family has generously offered to match!
The book is inspired by the author's many decades as a Village of Montclair resident, mother, and local activist. The awesome walking trails ("cut thru's") unique to our neighborhood are at the center of the book, where Emily highlights how the trails promote making new friends, good communication, and local neighborhood unity.
