At Thornhill, we believe that every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. To help fulfill this commitment, we created the Black Indigenous People of Color Advisory Council (BAC), established in February 203. The BAC was born out of the dedication and advocacy of Thornhill parents who sought to ensure that our school is a place where all students, especially those from underrepresented communities, feel a deep sense of belonging and inclusivity. The council plays a vital role in supporting and advising our school on policies and practices that address racism and racial inequities. Additionally, the BAC collaborates closely with the Parent Faculty Club (PFC) to ensure that school-sponsored events are welcoming to all, with a particular focus on lifting up voices from underrepresented groups.
