Important notes re: tonight’s FINAL PFC meeting of the year: Budget, board slate, agenda

Hello Thunderbirds!

We’re looking forward to seeing you at tonight’s in-person PFC meeting at 6pm in the library. We apologize for the late hour of this note, we had to make some adjustments to the documents before sharing. It’s the final meeting of the school year, which means we need to accomplish two very important things:

  1. Vote to approve the 2023-2024 PFC budget: Thank you to everyone who attended the special budget planning meeting earlier this month. Based on that meeting and new information we’ve received from teachers and the administration, we’ve updated the draft budget, attached to this note below along with overview slides. The good news is that all of the news is good! Thanks to some late-breaking info on roles and funding sources, we can cover more of what we need to while balancing the budget. We will go through the details tonight!
  2. Vote to approve the 2023-2024 PFC board slate: Some board members are staying on, some new people have stepped up, and some roles are waiting for their perfect volunteer or partnership. We’ll vote to approve the slate as it stands now (see below) — but if you’re potentially interested in a vacant role, you can absolutely still throw your hat in at any time, even after tonight’s meeting, and we can vote you in this fall.

A note on the procedure and agenda for tonight’s meeting: Needless to say, there has been a lot happening over the past few weeks, and we’re sure many people still have thoughts and questions. Because of the required votes above, plus some reports from PFC officers, it’s very important that we prioritize these agenda items. We are asking attendees to hold on any other questions or business to ensure we accomplish what we need to in the allotted time.
