We are excited to introduce ourselves as the new Inclusion & Belonging Co-Chairs at Thornhill Elementary, Danajane Katz and Yasemin Oguz. Our mission is to build community by supporting and advocating for the well-being and inclusion of all individuals, regardless of their background or identity.
Being part of the Inclusion & Belonging Committee means joining a community of families and staff who care deeply about ensuring that everyone at Thornhill feels seen, valued, and supported. Everyone in the Thornhill community is welcome to join in any capacity, whether you’d like to actively plan, occasionally help with events, or simply stay connected and informed.
Our first community meeting will be held on Thursday, September 11 at 5:30pm at El Agavero Restaurant in Montclair Village. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend.
We also invite you to share your interest and get involved by filling out our short volunteer interest form.
