Remembering Pam
Wed, Sep 4 12:52pm

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all doing as well as possible, what with the tragedy of Pam’s death casting a shadow over our school and community.  Yet, while Pam’s passing is tragic, we are still lucky for having known her, and for all that she brought to us, and especially, our children over the years at Adventure Time and across Thornhill.

It is also together fitting and proper for us to come together at this time to honor Pam and give whatever support we can to her husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Fiona, who finished fifth grade here at Thornhll in May and now attends Montera Middle School. Your contributions to the GoFundMe drive for Kevin and Fiona have been...Well, it’s hard to put into words what all of you have done, so I’ll sum it up this way: It’s awesome.

And if you still want to contribute, or might know someone else who would, please follow this link.

We  have two other events this week where you can show what Pam meant to you, and Thornhill...

The first is Thursday during the first Dine Out of this school year, at Pattys & Buns. The proceeds from this event that would normally go to the PFC will instead be donated to Kevin and Fiona in conjunction with the current GoFundMe effort. You’re going to have dinner anyway, so why not eat at a place where part of your tab will do some good for some deserving folks in our community?

The second is a vigil that will be held this Friday at Thornhill. For more details about that, please read the following that was also posted on the Thornhill parents Facebook page.

Thank you,

Rex Crum

Thornhill PFC President

Dear Thornhill Community,

This week has been a difficult week for all of us. The loss of Pam has been deeply felt across our community. We want to thank Mr. Daubenspeck and the Thornhill staff for coming together in offering grief counselors and support for our children.

To honor Pam, we will be having a candlelight vigil this Friday night after Adventure Time closes for the weekend at 6 p.m. This will take place on the playground where Pam would always be found watching over our children and waiting to share stories with parents as they arrived after a long day at work.

This event is open to all and will be a space for our community to come together in support of each other and in support of Pam’s husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Fiona. You are welcome to share a story or a memory of Pam, or just be there in her honor. It will also be a opportunity to surround Kevin and Fiona in love, light, and healing, and show them just how special Pam was to us.

Our community is an amazing one in which we all can offer support to each other and to Pam’s family during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you on Friday at 6 p.m. on the school blacktop.

With love,
Christina Bevilacqua and Sherry Kaetzel
