Hello Amazing Community,
It's starting to get real as we begin planning for the week of March 4 for our Solidarity School, if the strike continues. This is when we all have to dig deep to keep up the energy, focus, commitment and support that has been pouring out over the past 5 days.
Some of the highlights from this past week were classes taught by Master Han of Han Martial Arts, Doug of Doug's Drama and Capoiera by Ms Novak. We would like to continue to engage with our community and welcome any teachers (dance? art? knitting? science?) who are interested in volunteering to teach a class. If you have a recommendation for a class or know a teacher who would be interested, please reach out to email@example.com
Additionally, some enrichment classes are now being held at St John's. You should be getting updates from your enrichment teacher as to their plan/location. Anyone enrolled is welcome to join enrichment classes at St John's, whether you are attending the Solidarity School or not.
A few other reminders for Solidarity School:
- Please let us know if your attendance plans change, best way is to email Pam: firstname.lastname@example.org
- We are doing our best to manage our enrollment #'s and we also don't want to turn anyone away who really needs it. We are currently working on partnering with other nearby Solidarity Schools to potentially open up additional spots. More info to come on this soon.
- Reminder that we are following the regular school schedule with Wednesdays being minimum days.
Lastly, here are the links to sign up for next week:
Our volunteers have been nothing short of amazing and we hope that the energy and support will continue. Please sign up to volunteer for a shift next week if you are able. We cannot operate the school without your support.
If you would like to signup your child for next week, we are starting a new form. Please enroll here. We will attempt to send a confirmation of enrollment, but it is safe to assume that your child(ren) is enrolled if you fill out this form.
And last but definitely not least, we hope that our parent and teacher community leaves their strike worries behind and has a blast at the auction this Saturday.
Thanks to all for your amazing love, community, trust and support.
