Thornhill BIPOC Advisory Council - Inaugural Meeting
Mon, Mar 20 5:30pm-6:30pm
Thornhill Library

The BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Advisory Council was created to advocate for and create an inclusive environment for BIPOC students at Thornhill. It was developed by a group of parents of Black Thornhill students in response to the racist, violent incident in October of 2022. As a subcommittee of the School Site Council (SSC), the council supports and advises the Thornhill principal on policies and practices related to addressing racism and racial inequities at Thornhill.

The council will be soliciting members to fill the seats of roughly 10 parents of BIPOC students and 3 faculty/staff members.

If you are interested in joining and/or just learning more about the council, join us as we share more about the roles & responsibilities and the goals for the inaugural council.
