We have some exciting news and a volunteer opportunity for this weekend! The PFC is always looking for ways to enhance our campus (shoutout to the Green Team!), and we’re thrilled to share that a special project, funded in May 2024, is about to get underway. The PFC board approved the replacement of the aging planter boxes in the Thornhill garden. Yay!
Ms. Alexis, our gardening instructor, has partnered with the Eagle Scouts to make this happen. And thanks to the generosity of our Thornhill community and thoughtful planning, we’re able to fund impactful projects like these for our students.
This weekend, an Eagle Scout troop will be rebuilding the vegetable planter boxes in the main edible garden, and we could use a few extra hands. We’re looking for a few volunteers to assist on Saturday 10/19 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm or Sunday 10/20. If you’re available to help, please contact Ms. Alexis - alexis.lavinemoore@ousd.
Thank you for your continued partnership!
