Let’s come together as a Thornhill community to celebrate Ruby Bridges Walk IN to School Day this Friday, November 14! This national event honors Ruby’s courage and the power of kindness, unity, and inclusion—and we want everyone to be part of it!
Join us at the school gates before the bell for a joyful morning filled with connection and celebration:
✨ Ruby Bridges StoryWalk – Read Ruby’s inspiring story along the purple carpet.
💜 Tunnel of Positivity – Get a hand stamp and cheer as students and families walk in through the decorated gates.
🎨 Collaborative Chalk Art – Add your voice to a display about courage, equality, and friendship.
🎤 Community Gathering, 8:35-8:50am– Hear from Principal Scott and student leaders, celebrate our Ru-BE Bucks winners, and sing “This Little Light of Mine” together.
☕ Coffee & Donuts Mingle, 8:50-9:30am – Parents are invited to stay and connect after the gathering.
We are excited to celebrate this wonderful day with you; please sign up here if you are able to help with any volunteer spots on the day and to give us an idea of how many parents will be joining us.
Come early, wear purple if you can, and help make this a morning our kids will remember!
Thank you!
