Winter Social & Holiday Market

Get ready for the first (hopefully annual) Thornhill Winter Social! Happening at school TODAY Dec. 9, from 1:00-4:00pm, the social is an event for the entire school community, and will feature many festive things:

Holiday Market in the Multi Purpose Room

This craft fair will offer a seasonal array of gift items, all handmade by Thornhill 4th and 5th graders! Holiday shop AND raise money for 4th and 5th grade school programs simultaneously. Win-win!

The Holiday Market will utilize a price sheet system. Upon arrival, before entering the multi-purpose room, attendees will visit the "check-in" station to collect a price sheet, mini pencil, and shopping bag. Shoppers will mark the price sheet as they make choices, visit the gift wrapping station and/or buy gingerbread house raffle tickets.

When shoppers are done, they will present their price sheet (with items in hand) to the Check-out station before leaving the multi-purpose room. The volunteers at Check-out will calculate each shoppers purchases and take payments - we will be accepting Venmo and cash.

Great, Big Holiday Bake Sale

Benefiting 4th grade programs (including the traditional overnight Coloma trip), this will feature a variety of sweet and savory goodies to fortify you as you socialize, shop and play.

Gorgeous Gingerbread House Raffle

Don't miss your chance to win an edible showpiece - made by a Thornhill parent, Jaime Tronnes! Buy a raffle ticket (or ten) to try to win this beauty. Winner will be announced at 3:00pm - take home your winnings right then and there!

BAC Allies Book Club and Cultural Festivities Around the World - Meet in the Library!

Learn about the incredible, diverse holidays celebrated by people around the world - and right here at Thornhill! Also get tips on some great books, in partnership with our super librarian, Ms. Fox.

Open Playground Time

If the treats, crafts, gingerbread house and multicultural celebration aren't enough to draw your family to school on a Saturday, the open playground is sure to clinch your visit.

To pull off this super fun Saturday afternoon shindig, we need help from all of you - our amazing Thornhill community. Please consider signing up for a shift to help out - and make friends in the process. Thank you in advance - and we can't wait to ring in the season with you!
