Staff Appreciation Week is this week, celebrated May 4 - May 8. This Wednesday, May 6 is Classroom Recognition Day - a day when students and families celebrate their teachers.
Classroom Recognition Day is open-ended and flexible in ways to celebrate. Students can give their teacher(s) handmade cards, small gifts, baked goods, etc. Kids can bring their teacher(s) a flower or wear their teacher's favorite color. There have been class families that decorate their teacher's door to surprise them in the morning, etc. Really any way you'd like to celebrate your classroom teacher is great!
There is absolutely no pressure to spend money or do anything big - simple, sweet recognition is a great way to celebrate the day. All staff and teachers will receive personalized gifts organized by PTO volunteers, in addition to meals and surprises all week long!
