Month of the Military Child: Group Photo tomorrow + MUCH MORE!
Sun, Apr 3 4:32pm

April is the Month of the Military Child!
We will be doing some small celebrations/events all month long at TES. We would love for you to join in and help us celebrate our resilient military children.

💜April 4 - Military children will be taking a group picture at school. (Please have your military child wear purple, if possible)

💜April 15 - PURPLE UP DAY - Day to honor our military children! ALL students and staff are encouraged to wear purple. Wearing purple is a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.

💜 April 21 - Patriotic Day 🇺🇸 Wear Red, White and/or Blue.

All month long we will have:
💌📪"mailboxes" for students to place "Thank You" cards in. These will be delivered to Marine and Navy service members at the end of the month.

🇺🇸🪖Wall of Heroes - a school bulletin board displaying pictures of our military families.

✈️🌏World Map - a map display marked with places our military children have lived.

🏫Military Guest Speakers - Teachers can request a military guest speaker, where a military parent(s) can come and talk about what they do for work.

🎤Military Fact Announcements - Every Friday in April military students will announce an interesting fact about military children/families.

Military families, this week, your child will be coming home with a flyer with some more information/items we would like to have to help honor and celebrate them. Please contact Carissa - carissasalvador@gmail.com  -  if you do not receive one by the end of this week.

*The PTO wants to give a very heartfelt thank you to Carissa for leading this effort of celebrating our military kids this month. We are so incredibly grateful!*
