Staff Appreciation Week

May 3rd - May 7th

For those of you new to TES, we celebrate all 55 members of TES (faculty, support staff, cafeteria, science, spanish, principal…) under the umbrella of Staff Appreciation Week.

It is an all-inclusive effort that is only successful through the support, help and generosity of the TES PTO Foundation & our amazing TES families.

Here is what the week will offer:

Monday, 5/3: Coffee Bar & Donuts "Thanks for perking us up this year!"

Tuesday, 5/4: Plants & Baked Goods  "Thanks for helping us grow!"

Wednesday, 5/5: "Go shopping" & Bagels

Thursday, 5/6: Teacher Gifts & Sweet Treats

Friday, 5/7: Lunch catered by our local Chile Peppers

 

Please commit to donating your time, or one (or a few) of the many items we will need to make this week successful. Many hands make light work!

On Monday, 5/3, this will need to occur before school. For the remaining days you have the option to do this the day prior at 3pm OR 7am the day of. You will be working with 1 room parent liaison that will be assigned each day to oversee (TBD on who that person will be - but you will have help!)

Fri, May 7 10:30am-12:00pm
We need 2 people to assist with the Staff Lunch that will occur on Friday when kids aren't on campus. Decorating will occur at 10:30am. Lunch will be delivered at 11am. Staff will eat 11:30am. These volunteers will help set up lunch when it's delivered and help with clean up following. The volunteers are welcome to enjoy food as well!

Tuesday: Make/Buy 5 decorated potted plants Signed Up: 5 / 11

We are looking for approx 11 volunteers to each make 5 decorated potted plants (example: succulent, flower potted plants, fresh small bouquet). Something handmade from garden or purchased from the store (drop off to the office Monday by 3pm). Please make them generic (I.e., not written to a specific teacher or staff member). Tuesday: Baked Goods Signed Up: 5 / 5

We are looking for 3 volunteers to make/buy ~a dozen breakfast-type baked goods. For example muffins, breads, etc. They may be delivered to the office the day prior OR by 7am on Tuesday. (Note: Patty Noonan is also contributing several dozen, hence only needing a few more dozen to supplement). Feel free to make extra! PLEASE INDIVIDUALLY WRAP SERVINGS IN CLEAR BAGS/ZIPLOCKS FOR STAFF TO GRAB

Wed: Pick up snacks from Costco or Smart & Final Signed Up: 1 / 1

We need one person to shop at Costco or Smart and Final to pick up some drinks/snacks for Tuesday. Drop off would need to be by Monday, 3pm. Budget approx. $200 (Volunteer pays, PTO will reimburse). Suggested shopping list will be given to volunteer.

Bagels will be prepaid, we just need a volunteer to pick them up from Einstein's, bring to TES and help set up for teachers to eat.

Flower Arrangements Signed Up: 7 / 10

A Spring Flower Arrangement in vase. This can be store bought or flowers from your garden. The flower arrangements will be used to decorate the teacher and staff catered lunch on Friday. We will randomly select teachers and they will be able to take the flower arrangement home with them after the lunch :) Arrangements can be dropped of that morning by 10:30am.
