The Viking Fun Run/Walk is NEXT WEEK!

There are 3 different runs on Friday, Sept. 27th.
Run/Walk 1- 2nd/3rd Grade- 8:30am-9:30am
Run/Walk 2- TK/K/1st- 10am-11am
Run/Walk 3- 4th/5th- 11:15am-12:15pm
Cheering Parents:
Parents are welcome to come cheer on their students! All parent spectators must report to the office, sign-in and get a VISITOR PASS. Parents can then head to the black top area, the parent cheering section is under the solar panels. During the fun run, parent spectators need to stay in the parent cheer section. IMPORTANT: Parents are not allowed to go on track or field during the run, just runners and volunteers.
Volunteering Parents (who signed up to help, but you also get to cheer!):
Thank you to all the volunteers who signed up! Please be on time and report to the office to sign-in and get a VOLUNTEER PASS. After, report to black top to sign-in. Look for the FUN RUN VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN sign on the tables under the solar panels.
General Reminders:
- Everybody show your Viking Spirit and wear spirit wear/school colors!
- Students, make sure you are dressed appropriately for run/walk. We recommend T-shirts, shorts, athletic shoes and sunblock.
- If a student uses an inhaler for asthma, please have it available during the event. If you have any concerns, please communicate with the teacher.
- SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE, label the WATER BOTTLE WITH YOUR NAME. We will have water stations during the 20 minute run/walk to make sure our kiddos stay hydrated.
- Parents, feel free to make a sign to cheer on your student or your student's class during the run!
PLEASE BE AWARE: There will be a lot of activity on Friday on the blacktop. Along with the fun run, students will be out for lunch and recess. The last run, 11:15-12:15, will be especially busy. We need everyone to follow directions to make it a great day!
