What an incredible weekend! Our Valle Verde Carnival and Haunted House were a huge success — and it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing people who made it happen. Lainey Holmes once again made the carnival a festive, fun, and seasonally spirited event – thank you Lainey! Alongside Lainey, and so generous with their time were Barbara Liu, Brinda Biswas, and Megan Kusanovich, and DJ Ryan Pappas – thank you Carnival Crew!

 To our Haunted House Volunteers: You brought the magic to life with your time, creativity, and energy. Helping to create the creepiest haunted house was Eleanor Wei, Katie Yeadon, Lisa Pappas, Christine Stroh, Virginia Broce, and Becky Nunez. And the Haunted House Script was written by VVE Alum, Evie Broce. Thanks Haunted House Team!

 To our donors and sponsors: Your generosity helped us create unforgettable memories for our students, families, and community. Every contribution—big or small—made a real difference. Especially those that donated treats to Candy Corn Alley to make it a sweet success.

 To our staff: Thank you for your endless dedication and teamwork. Your planning, coordination, and efforts made everything run smoothly on campus. Special thanks to Mr. Yen for being there from set-up to clean-up. Also, thank you Tracy, Ellie and Principal Perkins for running the parade and costume contest. Additionally, thank you B-Pod Teachers who let their pod get overrun with zombies for a few days.

Because of all of you, we shared laughter, scares, smiles, and community spirit in true Valle Verde fashion. We’re already looking forward to next year!
