The Green Team works together with Recycle Smart to ensure the Valle Verde Recycling & Composting program is running smoothly.  The Green Team is made up of a group of students that help students at lunch with throwing garbage away in the correct bins, communicate the importance of recycling and composting, as well as take part in projects throughout the year.  

We are in need of 3-4 parents to help coordinate the student Green Team schedule for lunch time coverage, wash the Green Team aprons once a week and coordinate projects throughout the year.  Bancroft and Walnut Acres have also implemented this program and cross teaming is welcome! While in the beginning it would be great to have adult supervision during some of the lunch time shifts, it is not a requirement that an adult be on campus every day at lunch.
