The Great Computer Challenge is a joint project of WHRO, the Consortium for Interactive Instruction and Old Dominion University! This is a fun and competitive opportunity for students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade to demonstrate their knowledge of various computer applications and programming skills. Student must be enthusiastic about gaining computer skills and work well in a team setting.
Level 1 Visual Programming/Block Chain Programming-
Teams will create a digital story or a game using Scratch Jr or PBS KIDS Scratch Jr (Level 1). Solutions will be evaluated on creativity, originality, demonstration of technology skill, programming practices, and fulfillment of the problem’s requirements. Practices for Level 1 Visual Programming/Block Chain Programming will begin Thursday, February 13th from 3:30-4:30 in room 108.
We will open the practices to TEN 2nd grade students to start. The final team will be made up of 3-4 students.
